Meet the Team

Jennifer began her career as a software engineer and development manager in the high-tech industry. She later transitioned into real estate, where she works as an investor and licensed agent.


Jennifer is deeply committed to community service and has devoted a significant portion of her time to volunteering. Her service includes the National Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, Tzu Chi Foundation’s homeless breakfast distribution, East Palo Alto’s Happy Campus program, and WizChinese’s Palo Alto Chinese New Year Festival. She currently serves as a mediator for the Palo Alto Mediation Program and is a board member of the nonprofit organization BAHN (Business and Housing Network).


Most recently, Jennifer co-founded the nonprofit organization Empower In Need, whose mission is to create opportunities that uplift individuals and support their personal growth.


Dr. Cen is a scientist, entrepreneur, and community leader whose career embodies innovation, leadership, and service. After earning her doctorate in Molecular Virology from the University of Pittsburgh, Dr. Cen conducted medical research at the NIH, UCSF, and Chiron before co-founding SA Biosciences (SuperArray), a pioneering biotech company in content-based gene arrays later acquired by Qiagen. She also led and advised several biotech ventures, including Biotium, Inc.


In 2013, Dr. Cen transitioned from biotechnology to social entrepreneurship, dedicating herself to education and community empowerment. She co-founded WizChinese(formerly Palo Alto Chinese Parents’ Club), a nonprofit supporting immigrant integration and civic engagement, and founded ImpactGoGo, which launched inKynd, a digital platform connecting nonprofits with in-kind donors.


An active member of the Palo Alto University Rotary Club, Dr. Cen leads its Reading & Math Pals literacy program and partners with local schools to promote math equity through the Math Literacy Project in East Palo Alto. She also serves as a Trustee of the University of Pittsburgh and on the Pitt Public Health Board of Visitors.


Song earned her undergraduate degree in Physics from Peking University and a master’s degree in Physics from the California Institute of Technology. After moving to the Bay Area in 1998, she worked at several leading technology companies, including Netscreen Networks, Juniper Networks, and Palo Alto Networks.


In addition to her professional achievements, Song is dedicated to community service and educational engagement. She has volunteered with the Shin Shin Educational Foundation and the Palo Alto University Rotary Club, and also serves on Caltech’s Physics, Mathematics, and Astronomy Chair Council. She is very passionate about supporting education, youth development, and community enrichment.


Dr. Xin Liu received her doctoral degree in electrical engineering from Purdue University. She is currently a Professor of Computer Science at the University of California, Davis, and an IEEE Fellow.


In addition to her professional work, Xin is deeply committed to community service, particularly in education. She has served as a mentor to first-generation and underrepresented minority students in engineering and is strongly devoted to promoting engineering education for first-generation students and women. She led the development of AIBridge, an initiative that provides accessible AI education for interdisciplinary researchers and the general public. Xin has also served on her local school PTSA board and as treasurer for a school robotics team parent booster organization. In addition, she volunteers with a variety of local community service organizations.
